On Saturday 10/30 Team 6107 CyberJagzz participated as one of the approximately 40 exhibitors at the first annual Huntsville STEAMfest, part of the Huntsville Science Festival held at the Von Braun Center. https://www.huntsvillescience.org/
The team showcased their 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition robot alongside a team from Ft. Payne, the Gigawatts, team 7428. The robot was driven around a small area and picked up the 2020 game pieces, called Power Cells. These are 7 inch diameter foam balls like those used in PE classes. The robot intakes the balls from one side of the robot, then uses a conveyor belt to move them to the shooter mechanism on the other side. The balls are launched around 8 feet high in a gentle arc. At the STEAMfest young children were lining up to catch the balls as they came out of the robot. Also showcased at the event were local FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge robots. BEST Robotics and VEX Robotics were also at the event.
