Our Robots From Year to Year

Our Rookie Year was 2016. Here you can see all the robots we have built since then.

One caveat -- during our Rookie Year we met with another team at a nearby high school, Team 442 Redstone Robotics. We didn't have any tools or place to work at our school, and Team 442 volunteered to help us. We ended up with only 1 student on the team from our school, and Team 442 loaned us their students for a drive team. Both teams built identical robots, too.

2025 Reefscape, "Cheddar Cheese" (Name inspired by the cheese wedge shaped parts printed for the intake.)

2024 Crescendo, "FlapJack" (Name was because the robot reminded someone of a pancake.)

2023 Charged Up, "Perry" (Named because of the powder coating colors reminded the team of Perry the Platypus.)

2022 Rapid React, "Jim" (Named after 3 mentors.)

"Jim" is capable of intaking and storing two Cargo, and then launching them into either the Upper or Lower Hub, depending on the speed of the flywheels. Jim can also climb to the Mid rung and locks the climber using a brake.

Pitting the 2020 robot Longshot against the 2022 robot Jim to see which is stronger. Longshot has high-traction pneumatic wheels, but Jim is about 25 pounds heavier. Looks like small and scrappy wins!

2020 and 2021 Infinite Recharge, "Long Shot"

We were SOOOOOO close to being finished with this robot before the COVID-19 Pandemic closed everything down.

2019 Destination Deep Space, "JagBot"

2018 FIRST PowerUp, "RBT"*
(* Named for the rubber bumpy things that we used on the robot, formally known as "bumpons").

Team 1108, Panther Robotics, helped us to finish this robot at competition.

2016 FIRST Stronghold, "Barricade Basher"
We worked with Team 442, Redstone Robotics, and between us built two identical robots.
