The Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville is our biggest sponsor. They like to hear from the team members every year about what we have been doing. This year we had lunch with them on Wednesday January 29, which meant getting permission slips to leave school and ride with a mentor.

The students really love to go to these luncheons. The food is delicious, and dessert is even better.

In late January we got a message from the school Principal, Dr. Leverette, that we were going to have some very special VIP visitors from Washington, DC in the building, and that they would come to our Robotics Lab on January 27 some time after lunch.

Our special visitors turned out to be Frank Brogan from the U.S. Department of Education, Dr. Eric Mackey, the Alabama State Superintendent, Christie Finley, the Huntsville City Schools Superintendent, board members (state and HSV), and several other people.

The visitors toured the school, ending up in our Robotics lab. Our students explained the workings of the robot to the visitors.
