2021-22 Rapid React
We begin this season with vigorous recruitment efforts to rebuild our team to pre-pandemic levels. Most of our previous team graduated, so we are almost rebuilding from scratch.
Goals for this season:
Gain enough team members to have a team of 20 or more students.
Have 40% or greater female students on the team.
Involve students on the business end of the team - fundraising, grants, etc.
Train new team members on Solidworks, C++ programming, and our manufacturing equipment.
Have all new team members drive our past robots for practice.
Dismantle old robots and design and build mechanisms for practice.
Build a robust robot for the Rapid React season that can perform all game challenges.
Go to an out-of-state competition in addition to our local regional.
Build playing field components.
Create our own Stop Build day and meet it with a robot we can drive.
Prepare for and attempt to win awards.
Participate in the championship matches.

  • “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” MLK
  • “What we find is that if you have a goal that is very, very far out, and you approach it in little steps, you start to get there faster. Your mind opens up to the possibilities." Mae Jemison
