2015-16 Rookie Year: FIRST Stronghold
During our Rookie Year we partnered with Redstone Robotics, Team 442 from New Century Technology High School. The team was formed at J.O. Johnson High School in Huntsville.
We only had 3 or four students, and only one who attended regularly, and plus we didn't have any tools or equipment for robot construction at Johnson. So students went over to New Century after school to work with 442. We built two identical robots. Our main student, Glen, manufactured most of the aluminum robot materials at his father's shop: Nicole Tool & Die. Since we only had one student at the competition New Century students put on our tee shirts and formed our drive team. We ranked 34th out of 51 teams, and New Century ranked 24th.
